I have to work tonight so I can't turn the Oscars on until 10 (ugh, just kill me), but anyway, here are my predictions:
Best Picture: The Artist (My pick: Midnight in Paris) Best Director: The Artist (My pick: Woody Allen) Best Actor: Jean Dujardin (My pick: Jean Dujardin) Best Actress: Viola Davis (My pick: Michelle Willaims…although honestly, I would have chosen Elisabeth Oslen) Best S. Actor: Christopher Plummer (My pick: Christopher Plummer) Best S. Actress: Octavia Spencer (My pick: Octavia, or Jessica Chastain) Best Adapted Screenplay: The Descendants (My pick: Moneyball) Best Original Screenplay: Midnight in Paris (My pick: Midnight in Paris) Best Original Score: The Artist (My pick: The Artist)
I’m really not that excited about this year’s Oscars. There will be no surprises and honestly, I don’t think any of the winners really deserve it. But whatever, I’m still numb from last year. If The King’s Speech is still an Oscar winner but Fincher isn’t, does it really matter anymore?
just realized that whenever someone comes into my room my first reaction is to immediately minimize the window on my screen even if it’s like a word document or something. what a weird reflex to have. i always look like i’m just staring at my desktop.
